we meet little Jamie, i'm not sure exactly what her age is supposed to be, but my guess is she is 6 years old just like Michael was at the start of Halloween (1978).

With audiences clamoring for the return of Myers, the producers and the studio gave them just that, resulting in what could be seen as a retread of the original film: Myers escapes, goes to Haddonfield, stalks family member, kills random people.
