Hi. Have searched long and hard for this film over many years and have looked through a long list of Irish and Scottish films on wikipedia to try to identify the film, but to no avail.
The film is Irish or Scottish and focuses on a group of friends. It is either a film from the 90s or set it in the 90s. I watched it somewhere between the years of 2008-2012. There is some sort of a love triangle where a guy sleeps with his girlfriend's best friend or sister and she ends up pregnant at the end. The guy who does this is a musician, perhaps a fiddle player. I remember one scene in particular where the guy and his gf's best friend go into what seems to be an underground bar and I think I remember Portishead playing in the bar. They get drunk and I think that's when they sleep together.
There are also sisters or best friends who want to perform at a festival, perhaps Edinburgh Fringe festival doing some sort of synchronised swimming act.
