There is a saying that Day-Lewis is the best living actor, even better than Hanks, DiCaprio and Pacino.

Actually, I'm not sure if the saying is correct, because De Niro, Nicholson and Hopkins are also impeccable in acting.

Some old-time actors (already dead as of 2017), like Brando, Cagney and Stewart, are famous for their outstanding acting skills.

Who do you think is better than Day-Lewis?

Somebody once mentioned to Gary Oldman that he was seen as one of the best actors and his response was "Yeah but you haven't seen Mark Rylance".

From my point of view I like chameleons like Oldman – and Daniel Day-Lewis, who I haven't seen nearly as much of.

Man i don't agree at all with Meryl Streep's astronomical reputation and i'm starting to wonder if people are just going by Oscar Noms whether they are deserved or not. She's a very good actress but i've never seen anything from her that suggests she should almost unanimously be seen as the best.
