Running Scared (2006) Icerink Scene and The N-Word

I know this is stupid but this is a question I have had for YEARS regarding the 2006 Paul Walker Movie Running Scared.

Why did Tommy (Jonny Messner) call Paul Walker the N-word with a hard -er during The Ice Rink Scene? Haha it always cracks me up because it comes out of nowhere.

I wish I could help but it's been a while since I've seen it. I do love that movie.
