The following are my Top 15 Songs by one of the greatest rock bands of all time...

THE POLICE

15. FALL OUT
(1977, Single)

This song was the very first song to ever be recorded and released by the English trio called The Police, consisting of lead singer and bassist Sting, drummer Stewart Copeland, and guitarist Andy Summers. The song was written by Copeland, and was straight-out punk rock.

14. WALKING IN YOUR FOOTSTEPS
(1983, Synchronicity)

This song was the second track on The Police's massively successful album Synchronicity. The mid-tempo song is one of the band's most overlooked songs.

I only know a couple of Police songs, but they were big enough hits that I'll be surprised if they don't make your list.
I can guarantee you that those songs will be on this list.
On a side note, I've compiled this list as a request from Gatsby.

13. SPIRITS IN A MATERIAL WORLD
(1981, Ghosts In The Machine)

This song was written by Sting. It is known for being one of the songs by The Police and the early explorations of Sting, both as part of the band and a solo artist, that infused rock music with reggae and ska.

Why only 15 songs? Why does my 2nd fav band only get 15 while Madonna gets 40!

Alright, calm down Gatsby. So far I like all your picks Mojo, Fall Out and Walking in Your Footsteps is underrated (especially the former) and Spirits In a Material World boasts an interesting composition and lyrics.

I honestly am not an expert on The Police's entire back catalog as much as you are, I think.
Plus, I'm trying to quickly get through this one. The Doors thread lasted more than a week

I think I'll throw you a few recommendations once the list over.

Madonna.

I, too, thought this was very little of a countdown.... but then again, I probably don't even know 15 Police songs myself. But it's not my job to know more than 15.

11. WALKING ON THE MOON
(1979, Reggatta de Blanc)

This song was written by Sting one night after a concert in Munich. He was laying around in his hotel room drunk when he heard the riff in his head and walked around the room singing "Walking around the room..." The song ended up with a different title and becoming one of their biggest hit singles.

Synchro II is my fav song from Synchronicity. Including the lyrics and Sting's powerful voice, I also totally dig the worn-down future look of the music video.

Walking on the Moon features innovative drumming by Stewart Copeland - I've been trying to imitate his drum part for many years, but fail at every attempt.

10. INVISIBLE SUN
(1981, Ghost In The Machine)

This song was written by Sting about Northern Ireland's struggle for freedom, as a way of saying that even though the light at the end of the tunnel seemed invisible, that they should not lose hope. At the time, the song was considered the darkest material the band released. The song was also a universal message to all parts of the world that lived in struggle and had the determination to keep living. In interviews, Copeland has said that song was about the struggles in Lebanon, where he grew up, during its devastating civil war in the 70's and 80's.

9. DE DO DO DO, DE DA DA DA
(1980, Zenyatta Mondatta)

This song was written by Sting. It's possibly the most misunderstood Police song. At the time, the song was dismissed as ridiculous due to it's childish and nonsensical title. In an interview, Sting has said that the song was about people's attraction to simple songs, and stated, "I was trying to make an intellectual point about how the simple can be so powerful. Why are our favorite songs 'Da Doo Ron Ron' and 'Do Wah Diddy Diddy'? In the song, I tried to address that issue. But everyone said, 'This is ********, child's play.' No one listened to the lyrics. Listen to the lyrics." The song's title was inspired by something Sting heard his young son say.

'This is ********, child's play.' No one listened to the lyrics. Listen to the lyrics."
Yep, listen to the lyrics:

"Poets, priests and poiticians
Have words to thank for their positions
Words that scream for your submission
And no one's jamming their transmission
'Cos when their eloquence escapes you
Their logic ties you up and rapes you"
