Need the name of the movie with this scene in it....

Hi,

If anyone can name me the movie with the following scene in it...or even a link to a video of this scene I would be grateful.

The movie:

This movie is a comedy about getting married and I have forgotten the name...seems like it was made in the 90's or very early 2000's

The scene:

There is a very funny scene in this movie where 2 bachelor guys are running out in the wilderness with wild stallions (representing the freedom of being single) then suddenly one gets roped cowboy style and goes down hard in slow motion (representing getting a wife and loss of freedom).

Its pretty funny but I cant remember the movie title. I want to see if I can find a video clip of this scene online.

Thanks!

I have no idea. But I'll throw out Bachelor Party starring Tom Hanks as a possibility.

Well, the idea that being a bachelor is like being a stallion/mustang out in the wild is the central premise of ''The Bachelor (1999)'', starring Chris O'Donnell and Renée Zellweger. There are even scenes at the beginning and elsewhere (I think) in the movie that depict this. But I doubt that there's one showing the protagonist getting roped in. I'll see if anything else comes up

Just dug this one up. From a review:

At each wedding the bride's bouquet is thrown to one of the guy's girlfriends. Immediately we see the poor male superimposed over the running mustangs. Suddenly a lasso encircles him and pulls 'em down. Sure enough, Jimmy's girlfriend Anne (Renee Zellweger) nets the nosegay, and like a horse who knows he's headed for the noose, he offers an obligatory proposal, saying simply, "You win".

Also, from the IMDb user reviews section:

One might spot an attempt a some black humor, in the same vein as better films like Heathers and Election, but it failures to even come close to those. The Bachelor presents an opening thesis using wild mustangs to describe men. As each of his friends gets hitched, we see them running along side a herd of these horses, a lasso about to snag them. This joke is mildly clever, but sadly it is also the best thing about the film.

Now I strongly believe this is your movie. What do you think?

Bright light. Bright light. Uh oh.
Good call, and I've watched that thing but I couldn't remember those mustang scenes. The only reason I watched that movie was because it's a remake of one of Buster Keaton's better films, Seven Chances.

thats it! Thanks! I want to find a video clip of this scene.

Hey mark, I only recalled the bit about the horses. Had to go through those reviews to confirm the whole ''roping in'' sequence. I couldn't remember those scenes at all! Yeah, just like you mentioned, it wasn't a film I'd like to cherish either

But 68strat, that's just my (our) opinion. You go on and enjoy your movie!

haha, I only liked that one scene...the rest of the movie wasnt that great.

I think the scene I want was mid way through the movie as well...wish I could just find a short video of that particular scene.
