movies that may be on dvd but you are not sure

Blood and Wine.

I saw this movie a few years ago on tv and immediately started looking for a dvd. The only editions out 3 years ago wear not in the U.S. Does anyone know if it has been released yet or about to be released?

Yes, Bob Rafelson's Blood & Wine has indeed been released on R1 U.S. DVD. It currently retails for just $14.95. How about instead of asking us you simply go to one of the many, many internet sites that sell DVDs and look it up yourself?

That's a little harsh don't you think? I thought the whole purpose of this site was to have friendly movie discussion, and exchange information.

Bright light. Bright light. Uh oh.
Holden sometimes seems harsh, but he's trying to be practical. If the guy wanted the movie, and he checked the Net, he'd probably have it by now. However, my main thing is that he got some info and hopefully he'll have his movie in his hands soon enough.

That is how Holden is unfortunately. And he could have just helped him generously without being assinine.

I'm sorry, but the comment just read as patronizing.

I'm not trying to start world war three here, but it could have been worded slightly more tactfully. Bksdrums may well be young and not as versed in the internet, surely someone of Holden Pike's standing on this site should take these factors into consideration. I don't wish to sound petty, but if that reply had been directed at me (despite the info) I'd have been seriously hacked off.

If the guy genuinely had no idea how to find this information, sure, then from his perspective Holden was unnecessarily mean to him. But what's more likely: that he's stumbling his way around the web without knowledge of IMDB, Amazon, or Wikipedia, but still found this site...or that he just didn't bother to look the information up himself?

Not defending the initial reply, just sayin'...we shouldn't assume this guy is a hapless newbie in need of our help. It's just as likely he's just asking other people to do some legwork for him. We've certainly seen that sort of thing before, at least.

Point taken,

but I think in the first instance people should be given the benefit of the doubt, and merely offered links to useful sites for future reference
