100. West Side Story

"A beautiful rendition of William Shakespear's Romeo and Juliet. Plenty of classic songs that I've loved since childhood and is definitely one of the best musicals of all time."


99. The Professional

"I loved the direction in this film and of course Natalie Portman and Jean Reno were awesome. But what really stood out to me was Gary Oldman's borderline crazy performance."


98. Unbreakable

"Brilliant script and one of my favorite Samuel L. Jackson performances. The film also features one of James Newton Howard's best scores."

"One of the best movies this year and brilliant performances all around. Paul Haggis wrote a great script and I could see his passion for the subject through his excellent directing."

"A very sad look into life as a member of a chain gang. Paul Muni played his part to perfection."

"Clint Eastwood at his absolute coolest. Raised many quesstions for me as to what a good cop. I think I finally settled on Harry Callahan being the most good of the good cops."

"Another great Scorsese film. Great performances from Robert DeNiro and Harvey Keitel. Also has the best pool brawl ever captured on film."


88. Dial M for Murder

"Classic Hitchcock goodness. Great performances all around and a decent place to start if you've never seen any of his other movies."


87. The Silence of the Lambs

"A cencus taker once tried to test me. I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti."


86. 25th Hour

"Great ensemble cast and a brilliant story. Definitely my favorite Spike Lee film."


85. Iron Monkey

"Good, old fashioned, kung fu fun. I am puzzled as to why Donnie Yen has not yet made it big."

"One of those movies you know is stupid, but you grew up with it and still love it no matter what anyone else says."


83. The French Connection

"A great crime film that features some of the best chase scenes of all time. And Gene Hackman managed to be cool despite being nicknamed Popeye."

"Before I saw this movie I imagined Mozart to be this modest, soft spoken man with a funny accent, but thanks to Tom Hulce I will always think of Mozart as a short guy, with big wigs and a funny laugh."

"Brilliantly written script that manages to be somewhat realistic unlike many other comdies. I'm not sure if the movie woud've been half as good without Vince Vaugh, though......"

"Frank Capra's brilliant directing and Jimmy Stewart's beautiful performance make this movie a must see. Oh, and Claude Rains was good, too."

"My favorite Coen brothers movie. I though John Goodman was hilarious and every scene that was shot in the bowling alley was brilliant."

"Francis Ford Coppola's masterpiece and Al Pacino's finest hour. The scene where Sonny beats up his brother in law in the middle of the street is one of the finest whup ass sessions I've ever seen."




19. Citizen Kane

"Great story about a powerful man's rise to success and his downfall. I know it doesn't sound like a big deal, but the lighting in this movie was superb. Oh, and Orson Welles has a beautiful voice.




18. Rear Window

"I thought it was amazing how much Alfred Hitchock was able to do with so much of the movie taking place in the same room. Jimmy Stewart is at the top of his form and Grace Kelly played a strong supporting role."




17. Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark

"My all-time favorite adventure film. No one else could've played the role of Indiana Jones like Harrison Ford did. Wow, I never would've thought Steven Spielberg would be on my list so often......"




16. Double Indemnity

"A perfect example of a perfect film noir. Billy Wilder was perfect in his direction and all the actors were perfect. Did I say perfect enough times? One more time. Perfect!"
