The House with the a Clock in it's Wall
(2018)
3/5

The Dragon Lives Again
(1977)

recommended by @TYTD for the B Movie II HOF... I will give ratings for all 12 films within the next 2 days.

Hellloooo Cindy - Scary Movie (2000)
Tomb raider

Ok enough first hour then it goes south badly. Shamelessly sets up for a sequel. Based on the newer video game which was a great game and origin story. They basically ditched it but kept some characters and the island. Not worth watching to see cgi jumping and collapsing of rock.

1/5

“I was cured, all right!”

★★★★★
It is one of the most beauty journeys achieved in cinema. Malick made a masterpiece, and this extended, 3hrs version is everything I wanted: More time! I love Brad Pitt in this one.

★★★★
Another Pitt film, I completely love the way the story is actually an allegory with the United States, Capitalism and Socialism!

★★★
We've seen this formula a million times! But it still remains lovely when one is well transported to the screen. I know a lot of people complain about it: It's not original! But it's simply a familiar story with dogs. This is how computer movies should be made, did you hear Avengers Bull****?

★★★★
I was blind about it! I had not even heard about it, but when I saw the poster, I was intrigued, I found it beautiful and simple. Luckily it was a great experience (maybe because I wasn't expecting anything?). The film is much more than it appears. With a message we have known since the end of the Vietnam War, but it doesn't matter, it was very well told! Between the lines, behind the obvious , there is much happening. Very well done!

Unbreakable (2000)

I finally watched this in anticipation of Glass coming out, and this one fell a little flat with me. I enjoyed Split much more. The story itself was commendable, but I thought the actual movie plot points were pretty basic. The tone was very laidback the entire time, even when we finally get around to David using his power for good. It certainly isn't a bad movie, but I'm just very neutral on it.

What precisely is the connotation between this movie and the term reindeer games
I know this film as Deception

I'm not sure what is lazier writing for a film I actually quite enjoyed twice.

Raven73's Avatar
Boldly going.
Psycho IV: The Beginning
7/10.
Not bad for a Made-for-Cable movie. Good photography and a different spin on the series. An interesting look into the mind of Norman Bates. He calls himself "Ed" through most of the movie, which I think is a reference to serial killer Ed Gein.

Bates Motel (1987)
1/10
Unwatchable.

I'm sorry, but I have to confess I was exhausted during watching this Malick's movie. It appeared to me overblown, I prefer rather simply stories. The pics was beautiful indeed, but after 2 hours I had enough.
Anyway, I can tell you were hughely impressed and I wish you many such great movies to watch.

Speaking of the cartoon film, this is my fav hero

I won't dance. Don't ask me...

The strayed.

This movie is probably a one time watch only. I doubt, if I will remeber it for very longe. It's about three women from one family: grandma, her daughter, granddaughter and one crazy taxidriver.

It's X-men for teenagers. Ok, some people say that SCI-FI is for children and teenagersin generaly, but I don't agree.
As in the whole series the bout between McAvoy and Fassbender and their acting redeems the movie. Additionaly some scenes are happen in Poland with the actors speaking Polish

Last, not least, another plus for the plot with my fav Wolverine.
In genrally, the whole movie is average.

Snooze factor rating = Zzz

[Snooze Factor Ratings]:
Z = didn't nod off at all
Zz = nearly nodded off but managed to stay alert
Zzz = nodded off and missed some of the film but went back to watch what I missed
Zzzz = nodded off and missed some of the film but went back to watch what I missed but nodded off again at the same point and therefore needed to go back a number of times before I got through it...
Zzzzz = nodded off and missed some or the rest of the film but was not interested enough to go back over it

Goat 2016
★★★★ Watched 08 Oct, 2018

Andrew Neel uses the conditions of an actual, empathetic brotherhood to expose a hollow tradition of abuse. An all too accurate depiction of the emotionally constricted, self-perpetuating toxicity of not only fraternity life, but male relations in the country at large.

Journeyman 2017
★★★ Watched 08 Oct, 2018

As somebody who watches a lot of boxing, and martial arts in general, it's nice to see a movie focus on some overlooked elements of the sport. Even the heels of the sport who we banter about with our friends deserve our respect for the pieces of themselves they lose in the process. Refreshingly, the structure of the film eschews training montages and other tropes driven into the ground by the likes of the Rocky franchise. Journeyman is a simple, effective character study bolstered by Anthony Pitts' delicate performance.

Time of the Wolf 2003
★★★ Watched 08 Oct, 2018

Perhaps the flattest work from Haneke I've encountered, but this does stand out as being both less manipulative and less mean spirited than the others. How unexpected that in Haneke's film about the end of civilization you can find some sincerity and kindness for once.

Pieta 2012
★★★ Watched 09 Oct, 2018

Ki-duk lays claim to the most insane SK director by a landslide. That is no small feat.

Knuckleball 2018
★★ Watched 09 Oct, 2018

The Shining, Home Alone, The Visit, Don't Breath...

Once you lift enough ideas you can synthesize something new I suppose. That tends to be how Netflix goes about things so I'm surprised I didn't find this there. Beyond that, the problem with this particular movie is how long it puts everything off. There's no incremental piecing out of knowledge. It's just waiting for the reveal, and the reveal just isn't that great.

Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)

Napoleon Dynamite (2004)

Pet Sematary (1989)

The first 2 acts are hard to beat for atmosphere and creepiness. The 3rd act turns into part incredibly dark, part incredibly dumb. The ending felt rushed and silly with the baby gage one liners. Not a bad movie. Definitely has its moments. Herman Munster is great in this.

"The soil of a man's heart..is stonier"...
