Billy Talent - Devil On My Shoulder (2009)

- Canadian Band. If you never heard any of their songs ... I recommend this to you .

Oh god, it's the hometown band. Literally.

These guys are from Vacaville, California. Where I live and grew up. I remember them being really popular around here before they hit it big, but I never cared for them. The members of Papa Roach were a few years ahead of me and had gone to a different high school than I did, but we had some mutual friends.

After this single hit, I was invited by those friends to go hang out with them. I politely declined for fear that I might accidentally let it slip to the band what I thought of their music.

The guitarist got a sandwich at my sister's old work while she was there once.

I like the "Scars" song by Papa Roach. I think that's what it's called. I used to have their CD with that song.

Avenged Sevenfold - Beast and The Harlot (2005)

- My favorite band with Linkin Park and this song is awesome

Well, that tends to happen when rock and metal is defined by what's played on the radio
you heard Points Of Authority on radio ? i'm very skeptical

I was in 6th grade, drove 25 minutes to school every weekday, this album was insanely popular, they played 5 songs from it on the radio, including the My December b-side once or twice.

That wasn't at all my point though.

Hybrid Theory is imo the best album from 2000's so far and yes you can hate Linkin Park but it still one of the most unique band of all-time mixing Rock , Rap , Screamo and Electro is not that easy.... They are commercial but definitely not awful because of that.

ps: sorry I try to talk english the best I can it's not that easy for me (If you don't understand sometimes)

Hoobastank - The Reason (2004)

- It's not hardcore but it's a very great song (at least for me) I always like this song and in my opinion it's an awesome one.

Hey Derek, you an Animals as Leaders fan by chance? Tobin Abasi is probably my favorite living guitarist.
