Weird is relative.
1. Night Club - Schizophrenic

2. The Swell Season - Feeling the Pull

3. Gaelic Storm - Scalliwag

4. Comus - Song to Comus

5. Yoko Takahashi - The Cruel's Angel Thesis

6. The Bangles - Hazy Shade of Winter

7. Seether - Driven Under

Liked all the above. Listed below are the ones I couldn't get into...

8. Therion - Schwartzalbenheim

9. Concrete Blonde - The Beast

10. JINJER - I Speak Astronomy

11. Schnittke - Concerto Grosso #1, Rondo

Round 5 nom:

L7 - Monster

1. Concrete Blonde - The Beast

Electric guitar, touch of attitude, I dig it

2. Comus - Song To Comus

Pretty cool pagan folklore style, somewhat low-key

3. The Bangles - Hazy Shade Of Winter

At ease carefree listening

4. Gaelic Storm - Scalliwag

Celtic style, pretty smooth playback

5. Seether - Driven Under

South African rock band

6. Night Club - Schizophrenic

Electronic band, enjoyed the music itself better than that particular video

7. Schnittke - Concerto Grosso #1 Rondo

Rather quality classical with a measure of attitude. Don''t know much about Schnittke

8. Jinjer - I Speak Astronomy

Hard metal guitar, contrast female vocals from what I was expecting. Angry

9. The Swell Season - Feeling The Pull

Mellow

10. Therion - Schwartzalbenheim

Harder metal, Goth-ish, yet a rather soothing sound in spite of that

11. Yoko Takahashi - The Cruel's Angel Thesis

Guessing this has something to do with video gaming

@Nostromo87, sorry but only taking votes from those that have nominated a song for that particular round. Nominations for Round 5 are still open for just under 24 hours if you wish to join in.

Round 5 Nom-
Bach - Art of Fugue, Canone per Augmentationem in moto contrario

Just a little promotion... I highly encourage people watch the video of this one, I know the other classical pieces haven't had the most interesting videos, but this is just mindblowing (at least for me).
check out this channel, think you'll find it interesting too;
Yeah, I love this kind of stuff, and especially in the videos like the one I posted.... as in, there was no art involved, but Bach’s own music shapes itself (the lines follow the music) and it’s crazy how he pulls it off.

1. Schnittke - Concerto Grosso #1, Rondo - The video is so cool, I love the chemistry of the orchestra... And a great and fascinating piece as well, written in the depths of the Cold War...

The energy and tonality make a lot of sense in this regard.
Yes, some tough times for Schnittke, especially considering any music considered hard to listen to was banned... so most of his work got banned.

That's time at the bar for Round 4, unfortunately neither @Captain Spaulding nor @edarsenal put in an appearance but far be it from me to start any rumours when more than one participant go missing at the same time .......

1st - The Bangles - Hazy Shade of Winter (64 pts)

2nd - JINJER - I Speak Astronomy (61 pts)
3rd - Seether - Driven Under (58 pts)
3rd - Night Club - Schizophrenic (58 pts)
5th - Concrete Blonde - The Beast (57 pts)
6th - Yoko Takahashi - The Cruel's Angel Thesis (54 pts)
7th - Gaelic Storm - Scalliwag (52 pts)
8th - The Swell Season - Feeling the Pull (51 pts)
9th - Schnittke - Concerto Grosso #1, Rondo (50 pts)
10th - Comus - Song to Comus (45 pts)
11th - Therion - Schwartzalbenheim (44 pts)

So the John-Connor show continues, this one making it three through to the Final for them

Mind the gap .... Round 5 approaching....

A system of cells interlinked
1. Billie Eilish - Bury a Friend - This girl doesn't interview well, but is a tremendous talent for her age. She writes all her own stuff with her brother, as well. Not your average pop girl.

2. Caravan - Winter Wine - Steven Wilson ftw on the mix here. Ridiculous how much this mix improved after he got his hands on it.

3. Bach - Art of Fugue, Canone per Augmentationem in moto contrario - Not a favorite canon, but still great.

4. Electric Six - Danger! High Voltage

5. Guns and Roses - You Could be Mine - Great tune, but I am sick of it at this point

6 My Dying Bride - Catherine Blake - MDB has always been hit or miss for me. Oddly, so is this song. I like parts of it, but others drag on too much.

7. Mudvayne - Happy? I've always thought this Mudvayne track sounded like some other song, which escapes me art the moment.

8. L7 - Monster

9. Tapiman - No Chance

10. Mouth & MacNeal - Hello-A

Round 5
Mudvayne - Happy?
Guns N' Roses - You Could Be Mine
Billie Eilish - Bury a Friend
Caravan - Winter Wine
Mouth & MacNeal - Hello-A
Electric Six - Danger! High Voltage
Tapiman - No Chance

My Dying Bride - Catherine Blake

Round 6 nom
Alexisonfire - This Could Be Anywhere In The World

1. My Dying Bride - Catherine Blake
MDB is little hit-and-miss for me too but Catherine Blake is of my favorite songs by them. I love both sides of this song and the contrast they make is great.

2. Guns N' Roses - You Could Be Mine
Quite decent GnR track (though it would be hard to find a bad song from either of the Illusions).

3. Billie Eilish - Bury a Friend
Surprisingly good based on one listen, mimalistic but not boring. Here Iiked the video as well.

4. Mudvayne - Happy?
Kinda generic but not bad. Little colorless vocals but above average bass lines.

5. Caravan - Winter Wine
Old school prog with little weak vocalist. I guess the verses do drag a bit too (at times it feels like these bands only fully wake up during the instrumental wankery parts). Pretty nice still.

6. Tapiman - No Chance
More old school prog but surprisingly short one this time. Doesn't drag like Caravan but otherwise I prefer Caravan's style over this.

7. Electric Six - Danger! High Voltage
This is little better without the video (doesn't feel so obvious joke). Still not exactly my thing.

8. L7 - Monster
I wonder if they'd ever become any popular without being an all girl group. At least this song as bland and generic as they come.

9. Mouth & MacNeal - Hello-A
Despite the missing bra I found this song really boring. Lady has a good voice though.

10. Bach - Art of Fugue, Canone per Augmentationem in moto contrario
Not really in the mood for these classical pieces right now (and considering how I don't usually get them it's not good for mr. Bach).
