I take their use of "Comedy" to exist in the "Comedy/Tragedy" dichotomy. It's anything that's not overtly a drama.

Two winners in the feature film categories were announced first. Da'Vine Joy Randolph won Supporting Actress for The Holdovers and Robert Downey Jr. was Suporting Actor for Oppenheimer.

Anatomy of a Fall won for Best Screenplay, accepted by co-writer and director Justine Triet. It also won Best Non-English film.

I was a little surprised by Anatomy of a Fall winning best screenplay. I was predicting Poor Things, but was afraid Barbie would win.

The Boy and the Heron won Animated Feature while Christopher Nolan won Best Director for Oppenheimer.

I was a little surprised that The Boy and The Heron won animated feature. I was expecting Spiderverse to win. I haven't seen The Boy and The Heron yet, but I want to. I wasn't surprised that Nolan won director. It feels like this is his year and I think he will win the DGA and the Oscar too.

Emma Stone won Best Actress in a Musical/Comedy for Poor Things while Cillian Murphy won Best Actor in a Drama for Oppenheimer.

Some Barbenheimer wins. Oppenheimer won for Original Score and Barbie won for Original Song ("What Was I Made For") and for Bestest Box Officeness.

Paul Giamatti won Best Actor in a Musical/Comedy for The Holdovers and Poor Things was named Best Motion Picture Musical/Comedy.

And the final two. Lily Gladstone won Best Actress in a Drama for Killers of the Flower Moon and Oppenheimer won Best Picture Drama.

My friend is friends with Gladstone (Montana, ya'll!) and is over the moon for her.
