I don’t know if I’ll keep it up but I’m gonna rate directors in comparison to others mentioned in the thread.

Chazelle‘s got two movie and only one of them I really love (Whiplash). La La Land is joyous but it didn’t click with me as well. I’m looking at quantity of work as well.
