On the first drum beat I'm immediately taken back to my 90's college crush years spent in the art studio listening to this album on a generic portable CD player with anti-skip technology plugged into two off-brand PC speakers. I'd work through most nights painting till the early AM, broken hearted in my unrequited love of "Kim." I sometimes wonder how her life turned out. I hope she is well.

This album removes me from myself. It's as if time and space submit to its overwhelming force, then I find myself in another reality.

Not QUITE what I had in mind, but this is great! It's like a perfect hybrid of Bowie, Oingo Boingo, Duran Duran, and Simple Minds! And maybe a bit of a Gymkata soundtrack twist, to boot!
