Chappie doesn't like the real world
I had a request for this particular tournament, so I'll go ahead and make the thread now. Sign-ups will last until tomorrow around 9 or 10 pm eastern time and the tournament will officially start Saturday as soon as I receive everyone's nominations. If you sign up please be available Sat. to post the remainder of your nominations or pm me a list in advance

How many songs there will be will be determined by the amount of participants. You'll have eight nominations now and possibly more later.

Rules

1. This will be a female singer only tournament. The lead vocals must be only female. I will allow bands that have both male and female singers, but the song you nominate must be sung by the female singer. No duets!

2. Everyone will have at least eight nominations so you can go ahead and post those now. Please make sure you're not duplicating a nomination.

3. Keep all nominations in one posts and make sure that they are links, not the embedded video. You'll crash me. Once you receive any extra nominations once we figure out how many everyone has go back and edit the new nominations into the same post as your prior eight please.

4. If this is your first tournament, please read the section called Tournaments in this thread: Tournaments

5. Have Fun!

Chappie doesn't like the real world
I already have too many. *sniff*
I have a lot too. I'm hoping someone will nominate some of the songs I want to but don't have room for.

Question-

Should we judge the exact version of the song that is nominated?

I always do, and I often don't nominate a song because I can't find a good version, including multiple times this tournament.

I don't know if there's an actual rule about this, but I'm not usually a fan of live versions of songs that I've never heard before, so for those songs, I usually look for a studio version to give the song a fair chance.

My nomination for "Sari" by Nellie McKay is specifically for the live version I posted.

Well, fine, if you're going to be like that I'll change the damn nomination.

And I'm replacing her with Joanna Newsom. You have to deal with it.

I've never heard of any of those songs or artists, so they will both be given a fair chance if they're nominated.
