Ok so i love DVDs and i love the idea of being able to just pick a movie to watch over and over again..
so im looking for a good movie to buy that never gets old..and one ive never seen before..so basically im asking for a blind buy dvd..and i reaLLy want one like Donnie Darko and Equilibrium (more like donnie than equib). Something that makes you think...something classic..
In addition to choosing a new dvd for me to buy..plz rate my collection below on a 1-10 scale (its a tiny collection but its a start) and make a few recommendations perhaps.

Signs
Lord of the Rings: Two Towers Theatrical Version
Lord of the Rings: Two Towers Extended Edition
Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring Theatrical version
The Ring
Terminator 2: Judgement Day Extreme Edition
Jurassic Park III
The Hulk
Spider-man
X2: Xmen United
Minority Report
Donnie Darko
Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines
(which some kid borrowed from me and won't give back)

and thats it...

And this is my BOOMstick!
You like Adventure/Suspense kind of movies I guess. Yeah, they're pretty good.

Your collection isn't all that great, you just have a bunch of action movies, you need some classics like these:

Magnolia
Boogie Nights
2001: A Space Odyssey
Pulp Fiction
The Godfather Collection
The Back to the Future Collection
Dark City
Young Frankenstein
Blazing Saddles

Scarface
Punch-Drunk Love
Citizen Kane
Dr. Strangelove or: How I learned to Stop Worrying and love the Bomb
Saving Private Ryan
Being John Malkovich
Adaptation
Chinatown
Raiders of the Lost Ark

Thats all I could think of for now.

Spidei, this thread belongs in the DVD/Questions Information Forum. (Which is probably where Yoda's gonna move it when he sees it!)
Anyway, i would suggest these, because i have all those of yours and love them all:

Daredevil
Underworld
Indiana Jones Trilogy
Back to the Future Trilogy
Phamtom Menace
Attack of the Clones
Classic StarWars Trilogy
The Matrix
Matrix Reloaded
Animatrix

I have plenty more suggestions if youre into comedy flicks as well..

casino
la bamba
clockwork orange
scarface
pulp fiction

Okay, here's mine (in no particular order):

Battle Royale
Battle Royale II (2-Disc HK Import)
Dark Water
T2: Judgement Day (Black Tin Edition)
T3: Rise of the Machines
Donnie Darko
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
Dark City
Cannibal Holocaust
Mallrats
Fight Club
Pirates of the Carribbean
Falling Down
Gen-X Cops
Gen-X Cops 2: Metal Mayhem
Kids
The Crow
The Crow: City of Angels
Swordfish
The Usual Suspects
Reservoir Dogs

I also have two godawful Vipco Horror DVDs called "Island of Death" and "House on the Edge of the Park", as well as the following TV series DVDs:

24 (Season 1 AND 2 boxset - was only available for 24 hours...)
South Park (Season 3)
Red Dwarf (Series 2 and 3 so far)
Spaced (Series 1 and 2)

Not too shabby, by my reckoning. I'd recommend each and every one of the above(minus the Vipco DVDs), except The Crow: COA, which is only necessary to see if you're a big Crow fan. Or an Iggy Pop fan, whatever.
