Which Movies Are You Going to See This Summer?

Tools

I am very curious as to see how Crash turns out, though I had the same feeling while watching the trailer for "In America" and was terribly disappointed with that one, loved the cast, loved the kids especially the scenes they had with Djimon Hounsou but otherwise it left me wanting.

I (being the SW Fanboy that I am) will be one of those geeks in line for Ep3 (though I assure you I will be dressed in street clothes), FF as well, as crappy as it looks I like Michael Chiklis so what the heck...War of the Worlds is the least of the summer blockbusters on my list, again good ol Steven will screw this one up...

Since moving to the east coast of Central Florida, where art houses are non-existent, some of the cooler indy and foreign films will have to wait till I can order them from netflix.

In the Beginning...
The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.

It won't be out until December, but there is no other film I want to see more. I've got fond childhood memories of that entire series, and everything about this film tells me that Andrew Adamson and company know what they're doing.

I'm not anticipating the summer releases as much as I thought I would, but being the Batman fan that I am, I'm interested in Batman Begins - simply because of the inexplicably strong cast of players. Something must have made them want to participate...

And because of some internal elitist nerdhood ideology of mine, I'm sure I'll be seeing Star Wars: Episode III opening night. Not that I'm expecting much, but we'll see.

The movies I'm probably going to go see are Batman Begins, Fantastic Four, War of the Worlds, Star Wars Episode III, and I'm going to have to see what other movies that are coming out in the summer.

Batman begins, Revenge of the Sith, and FF.

You'll regret that. As for Lucas, he's far from not working.

The Adventure Starts Here!
Already seen Cinderella Man (bwahahahaha!). Writing a review this weekend. Want to see the typical blockbusters, and a few sleepers as occasion arises. Need the occasional popcorn fix, if nothing else.

I am a big Tim Burton fan, and all of the movies you mentioned are great films, but he hasn't made ANYTHING like them in a LONG time.

As for Star Wars, worst movies EVER made! Or perhaps you've already forgotten about Yoda flipping around and flying like some freakish mutant who escaped from Wudan Mountain
And did you miss the love scene between Anakin and Padme. Who the hell wrote that?

I got for good luck my black tooth.

Sure, Episode II wasn't that good but the rest (esp. the original trilogy)are excellent. They are contain so many perfect examples of how to make good actions with a space opera story that goes quite a bit deeper than just being a vehicle for the action but not so deep to detract from the general excitement. I suppose I can understand if you don't like Star Wars, but worst movies of all time? Hardly. How many movies have you actually seen?

From all of the films I know about, I'd like to see:

High Tension
Bewitched
Mr. & Mrs. Smith
War of the Worlds
Deuce Bigalow 2
Land of the Dead
Red Eye
Batmin Begins

and maybe Everything Is Illuminated, though I don't know much about it yet and don't really care for Elijah Wood.
