What we’ve know for a year is apparently about to be confirmed this weekend at San Diego Comic Con: Ben Affleck, who was cast as the new cinematic Batman for Warner Bros.’ new shared DC Comics universe on film, will direct and cowrite an upcoming solo Batman film, tentatively releasing sometime in 2017 or 2018.
