not bad, not bad at all, although you should get some more world movies (there are some really good ones out there!) start maybe with Hero are work your way through

Don't recommend buying Saw, it has a few effective frights and a rather 'kick yourself in the teetth' twist but i watched it again and it plays like a bad B-movie.

In regards to World cinema, try starting with some Jeunet- Amelie would be the obvious choice, but i recommend Delicatessen. Guilemerro del Toro's Devil's Backbone is an interesting film. There's a handful of groovy Latin films around atm- Amores Perros being my fav.

You should stick to European foreign films before venturing to East imo.

The People's Republic of Clogher
I'm like a broken record in any recommend thread but Go Gilliam!

Then try some Coen Brothers (apart from the last few).

They're both 'different' but not offputting...

Hmm, definitely Blow would be a good addition. Try Requiem for a Dream, Killing Zoe, Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, A Clockwork Orange, Donnie Darko, Fight Club, Boondock Saints (Possibly), Seven, Snatch.

If you want to break out a little, I see you like Nolan and tried out the following, maybe you should check out some David Lynch. Muholland Drive, Blue Velvet, Elefant Man, etc.

Cassidy Bogart's Avatar
Proud Member of the Soprano Family
Little Scorsese couldn't hurt
