Noob ...

Well, as you may have guessed, I'm new here. So just thought I'd start a thread to introduce myself as best I can. So here goes ...

I'm Martin, a guy, 24 years old, and I live in the Netherlands, which is lovely this time a year (doesn't quite work, does it, that written sarcasm?). Anyway, I'm a student, I'm studying the English Language and Culture at the University of Utrecht (one of the three biggest cities in the country). I'm in my third year, or technically speaking my Bachelor year. In just over one year I'll be hoping to receive my Masters' Degree in Translating (because that's what I'm specialising in).

Errr .. I love films, of course. Consider myself a buff, but I'm sure my knowledge of all things films will seem like squat when compared to all your knowledge. I also love to read. If I'd have to choose between en good book or a good film, I'd have to seriously think about it. So I won't even try. Thank heavens I can do both!

I attend several other online forums, mainly about books, but this is my first film-forum, so I'm excited about it. As a matter of fact, I think I'm gonna dive right in now, so I'll stop wasting all your precious time.

So, this is me! Just saying Hi!

Hi Martin and welcome! I don't think we have any members from the Netherlands here so you obviously fill a void. This is the best film forum I have ever been on and the only one I visit and post on on a daily basis. Hope you'll like it here!
