Hey, thanks for that Sammy. I normally feel in line with a lot of Ebert's views - guess i'm gonna have to add the rest of these to my list of should-sees . Reckon i've only seen about 15-20% of those.

Still, i've got Woman of the Dunes and Au Hasard Balthazar sitting around waiting to be watched, so i guess i'll tuck into them soon. (and i've just bought The Seventh Seal and Floating Weeds tonight - i am so going to have to turn off my one-click option on amazon )

[edit - just bought Umberto D since i posted this - dammit dammit, stoopid payday, dammit]

My brain hurts C, too much movie info, I've got ice cream headache.

I'm not one for always going by other's recommendations, I know there's loads of films that I have not seen, but generally if I'm intrested in the story, I'll check it out. Having said that I've about 600+ DVDs in my cupboard, some I've still to watch, so what am i doing talking to you guys???? I'm onto my 3rd film of the day, I have no life!!!

Ive never seen...

Lord of the Rings(None of them)
The Godfather
Fight Club
The Matrix
Blair Witch Project
Star Wars
Jerry Maguire

But its not really like I want to see any of these movies, its just the movies that people are surprised I've never seen.

Im guessing your surprised by Lord of the rings, after seeing part of the first one, I couldn't stand seeing the rest, let alone any of the others. Although sometimes I think I should give it another shot even though its not really my type of movie. And I really do want to see fight club and I don't have any intrest in seeing any of the others. Oh yeah, and people also think im wierd because I've never seen Gladiator.

Not a problem, simple cut and paste. Being a geek, I made a spreadsheet out of that list and determined I've seen exactly 1/3. Someone save me before I compute again!!

Did you finish Woman in the Dunes? That is a strange one. I loved it.

I haven't seen Irreversible, but do see Seven. Btw, you should make a introduction thread. Let us get to know a little about you and give you the proper Mofo welcome.
