Best Recent Horror Movie You've Seen

I've recently watched The Eyes of My Mother and I was really impressed by it. Especially because it was the directors first movie. Though it is a fairly short movie I feel as if it is one of the more original stories I've seen played out in a very long time. The atmosphere is great and the main character of the movie is a treat to watch in action. Beautiful movie and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys horror.

Get Out and Split are both quite good highlights from this year

Haven't watched The Eyes of My Mother yet. My favorites in recent memory are "The Wailing" and "The Witch". Both of them are great in create the horror atmosphere.

I really enjoyed that.

Bone Tomahawk. Slow burn with a brutal payoff.

Well the most recent good one was Annabelle Creation, but there've been quite a few this decade.

The Conjuring films, Ouija: Origin of Evil, Oculus, Annabelle: Creation.

I'm talking strictly horror, otherwise I would have included Get Out, which I think is more of a thriller.
