I live in good old Roanoke, VA. The only film related scenes our city has been host to was in Remember the Titans and the championship game of T.C. Williams and Andrew Lewis (the latter's name was replaced in the movie with another team...as was the name of the stadium). It was actually called Victory Stadium and not Roanoke Stadium as it is in the movie.



They torn it down 4 years ago. Pissed right many people off in doing so even though it wasn't being used anywhere near like it was back in the 60s and 70s.

We also played host to Borat's national anthem prank, but that technically took place in Salem, VA (they're like 15 minutes away) at the Salem Civic Center.

Anyways, here's a nice shot of Roanoke's defining feature: the Mill Mountain Star. We are the Star City for a reason.
