A Walk to Remember

I was forced to sit through "Love, Actually" this Christmas, and actually thought it was pretty good, especially the writer and Portuguese maid storyline!

Happy New Year from Philly!
Crossing Delancey bookstore manager falls for writer, pickle seller falls for bookstore manager. Who will win the fair Amy Irving, Jeroen Krabbe as the writer or Peter Riegert, the pickle seller from the old neighborhood? Suzzy Roche has a small part in this movie; a tidbit for those who remember the folky harmony singers The Roches.

I've a soft spot for Sweet November, Theron/Reeves version. Dunno why, really.

The Notebook
P.S. I Love You

pretty easily.

I gotta say I love the British comedies when it comes to chick flicks.
Such as Bridget Jones' Diary
Notting Hill
Love Actually

But I do reallllly love Only you which has Robert Downey Jr and Marissa Tomei.
Just the scenery in Italy is beautiful and Downey Jr just doing about anything to win Miss Tomei's heart, very sweet.

I don't think I've ever seen that one and I like both Downey and Tomei so will have to check it out...

Check it out for sure. It is one of those forgotten chick flicks, but one of the best I think!

A true pure chick flick I no like any any of them.

I like Portrait of Jennie but not because of the romance but because with the ghost getting older and all that other weird stuff with time going back and forth it keeps my interest. Pure realistic romantic drama bores the crap out of me, you mix fantasy with it or the right kind of comedy or horror or suspense or sci-fi I'm okay with it.

I'm a huge Romantic. My favourite film genre is Romantic Dramas. I also like some Romantic Comedy's but not very many. Anyway, here are some of my favourite "Chick Flicks":

TITANIC
Romeo + Juliet
Breakfast At Tiffany’s
Forrest Gump
Dirty Dancing
How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days
The Sweetest Thing
Sweet Home Alabama
Pretty Woman
Sabrina
Grease
What Happens In Vegas
Ghost
The Holiday
The Notebook
50 First Dates
Never Been Kissed
Romy & Michele’s High School Reunion
