I love Simon and Garfunkel... together... alone, they didn't do it for me either...

I am having a nervous breakdance
Mark Kozelek (Red House Painters, Sun Kil Moon as well as solo...) has a pretty expressive voice.

Thom Yorke (Radiohead) of course. Mini, where are you?

Have I said Glenn Danzig yet? No? Must have been in a different thread. Glenn Danzig.

They had temporarily escaped the factories, the warehouses, the slaughterhouses, the car washes - they'd be back in captivity the next day but
now they were out - they were wild with freedom. They weren't thinking about the slavery of poverty. Or the slavery of welfare and food stamps. The rest of us would be all right until the poor learned how to make atom bombs in their basements.

I'm not old, you're just 12.

Kurt Cobain had a unique voice. I have heard it described as the voice of god coming out of the mouth of a dog. He is a lot like Bob Dylan, who has an atrocious singing voice, but he sells it because he really believes in what he's saying. Kurt maybe couldn't sing very well, but his voice is heartbreaking and powerful, and man, could he scream.

Ah yes, Diamanda Galas, the insane opera singer.

Absolutely inhuman vocals!

If you have never heard her go to her website http://www.diamandagalas.com/ and listen to some audio samples.

Be warned, her screams are startling.
