Happy Birthday, Mark! So glad Holds told you about this place. I really appreciate the insight, patience, and even-temper you bring to so many of the discussions here.

Bright light. Bright light. Uh oh.
Thank yous to everyone who has wished me a happy birthday. It's really February 1, but I like to make a weekend out of it if I can. I did notice this morning that the home page said my birthday was today, but then when I checked back later, it was corrected. The plan is to have friends and family over tomorrow to listen to some Andrew Bird, Nada Surf and Blitzen Trapper, watch the Super Bowl, eat some homemade enchiladas and watch a movie if everybody can last that long. Thanks again to my special MoFo family.

In Switzerland they had brotherly love - they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock."
