To use the restroom.
No, leave it for good, because it goes downhill in the worst way you could imagine.

WALL·E (Andrew Stanton, 2008) (Rewatch)

Felidae (Michael Schaack, 1994)

Darkness Light Darkness (Jan Svankmajer, 1989)

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 (Francis Lawrence, 2014)

Romance (1999) - Catherine Breillat
It's hard to know how to describe Breillat's films - except interesting. In some ways she is like a female Von Trier and this felt similar in some ways to his Nymphomaniac.
-

The Last Mistress (2007) - Catherine Breillat
This time she explores some of her themes in a period drama and it doesn't really work.
+

A Beautiful Mind (2001) - Ron Howard
Starts off great but then takes a fascinating story and turns into overly sentimental nonsense. Acting was mostly good though.
-

One Week (1920) - Buster Keaton/Edward F Cline
Pretty funny Keaton short that seemed to have some of the same jokes as his later films.
-

Rush (2013) - Ron Howard
Easily the best film Howard has done (that I've seen) with really interesting characters - and he manages to stay focussed on the depth of those characters rather than taking the easy way out like he has often done in the past IMO.
-

X-Men: The Last Stand (2006) - Brett Ratner
I'm running a few weeks behind on posting what I've watched to this thread and all I can say about this is that, based on my rating, I thought it was rubbish. Apart from that I remember absolutely nothing. Not a good sign ...
-

The Wind Rises (2013) - Hayao Miyazaki
A nice way for Miyazaki to finish his career but not one of his best.

Pulse (2001) - Kiyoshi Kurosawa
I like Kurosawa's style but the slow pace ended up harming this one a bit. Still interesting enough.

The House of Magic (2013) - Ben Stassen/Jeremy Degruson
Belgian animated kids movie - made in English. The animation is excellent but everything else is horribly clichéd. I saw it in a cinema full of kids and they were getting bored about half way through.

Never understood why we have this thread, and the "rate the last movie" thread??
This thread was first!

Movie Tab REPRESENT!

Sorry if I'm rude but I'm right

"I like it that way. If you know what I mean. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)"

The Roaring Twenties
(1939) -

The Public Enemy (1931) -

I decided to watch more films with Cagney, so I picked two classics. The Roaring Twenties is better in every aspect, but The Public Enemy is still a good flick. Roaring Twenties is just bigger, longer, takes more time to develop the story that is much more complex as well. Pretty funny stuff in both of these films. Jailbait, 'evil' Bogart, Prohibition era shenanigans, war trauma brother and more!

I ain't no singin' in the rain, stoop!

Look, I'm not judging you - after all, I'm posting here myself, but maybe, just maybe, if you spent less time here and more time watching films, maybe, and I stress, maybe your taste would be of some value. Just a thought, ya know.

Never understood why we have this thread, and the "rate the last movie" thread??
I use each thread differently, as do a lot of people.

I post in here after I've seen five films, but I only just list them the title, director, year and popcorn rating and choose an image from two of the films to post with it. Whereas in the Rate the Last Movie Thread, I'll post about one movie and usually give some explanation for why I've given it that rating.

Never understood why we have this thread, and the "rate the last movie" thread??
Originally the difference between the two was that the "Movie Tab thread" was to just let people know exactly what you watch. The "Rate the last movie you saw" thread is just that. Basically they're just identical kind of threads just named differently.
