Now this is an odd case of synchronicity I guess. My girlfriend and I just went to an Andy Warhol exhibition at the Seattle Art Museum. They had projections of faces on the walls, including Edie Sedgwick. I asked if she had ever seen Factory Girl. Anyways I dig The Cult, had no idea Edie (Ciao Baby) was about her.
Mentioning Andy Warhol makes me think of Lou Reed's Walk on the Wild Side, which I'm pretty sure fits this category.
Honourable mention goes to Pop Will Eat Itself's Harry Dean Stanton - haven't heard it but I looked up the lyrics. Hell of a word salad, picking out any connection to Stanton is like solving a Rubik's cube.
