Sorry if I'm rude but I'm right
That moment when you want to find that 1988 anime film Akira, but all links lead to Asa Akira porn. ;_;

Wait, actually... ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) it's not as bad as I thought.

Escape from Sobibor (TV Movie, 1987)

Pretty good for a TV movie.
I've seen this movie a bunch of times on TV, I remember a time it play endlessly on the history channel, I like it, great ending and music to go with it.

I think that's when I saw it, but I remember Alan Alda in it as well, unless this is a different version. I remember him running towards the end.

would you rather

Bad acting, ridiculous plot, way too fast paced, could see both twists coming a mile away

the last sign

thought this was going to be really good,as it had a really high rating.
man was i disappointed.Dont know how Andie Mcdowell got so popular, shes not a very good actress,to put it politely. I kept waiting for something to happen but it never did-again the twist was way too obvious and this movie has about the weakest ending ive ever seen.

i think we established a long time ago that you and I have completely different tastes in movies

Women will be your undoing, Pépé

(COUNTLESS REWATCH) Sleepy Hollow
My only Halloween movie this year, but still, a favorite all the same.

Mon Oncle (French 1958)
+ Quite amusing in parts - rather loved the practical jokes the kids did the best.
Would have LOVED to find a gif of this image I found.

Alice Through the Looking Glass
a lot of the magick was kinda missing in this follow up, but still enjoyable.

Weiner-Dog (2016)

Solondz explores mortality in 4 vignettes progressing from childhood through old age. His humor is as biting as ever, but the plot feels a little too scatter brained. He touches on everything from millennial exhaustion to sterilization of the mentally handicapped. Unfortunately the stars never quite allign and the movie never becomes greater than the sum of its parts.

Storytelling (2002)

Solondz works in the meta to confront his critics and defend the twisted universe his films take place in. A provocative experiment examining exploitative storytelling through the lenses of fact and fiction. Perhaps his most concise observation is that fiction exposes the creator's vulnerabilities whereas nonfiction exposes the vulnerabilities of others. There's a lot to unpack here, but it all feels increasingly pertinent and profound. Maybe too bluntly contrived for some to stomach.

This was alot more interesting and funny than i expected it to be. I haven't given ratings any thought since i was 14 or 15 and was able to get into an 18 without ID, so it was interesting seeing the history and criticism of the American Ratings System. Some stuff was ridiculous, some infuriating, and some surprising, pretty much what i was expecting. The investigation plot was pretty great, i thought the investigator was very likable. It was a bit creepy as well but i do agree with what a woman said that they should be out in the open people with equally or more stressful/dangerous/whatever jobs like judges and lawyers are so i don't see why they deserve anonymity. The best thing was the thought of the MPAA having to watch and rate this movie, seeing these people following them and going through their trash. Loved the reanactment with the eye-rolling and growling MPAA woman and lawyer.

Don't see myself ever watching this again but it was a good one time watch of a subject i don't know much about.

The Fifth Element (1997)

Despite being a Bruce Willis fan, I guess there was a reason I never watched this before. I thought I'd give it a shot for the upcoming Sci-Fi countdown. It's not a bad movie but it's not for me. I thought it was goofy and there really wasn't anything I liked about it.
