Terminator 3 what is up with that!!!

I don't know if it's just the fact I haven't seen any of the others or just because it is how I see it, but does anyone else find this movie very un appealing?

But I sure as hell am going to see it, I never turn down an Arnold flick. I don't think it'll be bad, but I don't expect it to be better than T2. I've heard that there is an opening for a T4 and T5.

Take two Terminator films and call mne in the morning.

The Terminator films are the story of John & Sarah Connor, the machine was window dressing. I can't imagine this being anything but dull as the emotional connection just doesnt look like it will be there.

Looks like an excuse to just make money without even trying to live up to the origianals......

The nail in the coffin is that the idiot who made U-571 Johnathon Mostow is directing it. He has not got an eye for detail, obviously doesnt look for believability in films and if his last effort is anything to go by, has no idea about action editing and filming.

I will be very surprised if this isnt just another mindless action fluff piece.

I will definately go and see it. Everyone who has seen and loved the 2 previous films will all go (if they are honest). Even without Cameron, the trailer looks o.k.

Ahh-nold is God, bottom line. Plot structure, dialogue, directing, it all makes no difference once he's in the picture.

Anyway, back to seriousness: The difference between T3 and the first two films is that the first two were action classics, I would go so far as to say the second one was a milestone in visual effects.

This new film, directed by some fool who completely retold the Enigma story from his own skewed perspective, will be nothing more than a good piece of entertainment. Keep in mind that is exactly what the studio set out to do, make a good piece of entertainment, not a landmark.

If they were looking to making Lawrence of Arabia they wouldn't have put this fool at the helm, the market is already there, they know it will be a success. All they have to do is deliver.

I agree BloodSport, if the movie is good it doesn't matter about who the director was and how good the special FX guys done. The main draw to a movie should be the story and not who's in it. If you liked the first 2 movies you're obviously going to want a 3rd installment, maybe a 4th.

No, now wait a minute special FX are very important it doesn't matter who does them as long as their great.
After all special FX is what the terminator is all about.
