The Artist (2011)

I think the best in terms of quality and emotional impact is Schindler's List.
However, every time I watch it, I come away feeling like I've just been hit by a train. I literally cannot watch it more than once every few years because I'm a complete wreck afterward. That said, as good as it is it's not a favorite. Favorites from this list include Gladiator, The Departed, Dances With Wolves, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

I think the worst film of those I've seen is a tie between Shakespeare In Love (It's total fluff, no real depth) and Crash which is completely utterly lacking in subtlety and nuance. I also really didn't care No Country For Old Men, Lord of the Rings, Braveheart, Unforgiven, The Silence of the Lambs, and The Sound of Music.

You forgot to bold Casablanca, Forrest Gump, and Schindler's List
Casablanca I thought was a very good romance and deservedly Best Picture but just not something I'd watch over and over like the over films.

Schindler's List
is also a fantastic film that's extremely well done but again not something I'd watch over and over. Maybe I could of bolded these two if we're talking objectively and in terms of craftsmanship, but like I said they don't bring the same personal enjoyment and rewatchability as the others.

Forrest Gump I find is a good film don't get me wrong but overrated for me, maybe I need to watch it again, just don't think it's Best Picture material as opposed to Pulp Fiction

It should have been Shawshank by a nose but Gump is awesome. Schindler's List doesn't have great repeatability but its a hell of a film. And Casablanca I have to disagree with you I think it has some solid repeatability. To each his own though obviously.

I've only really seen Casablanca once actually just never felt compelled (or seen the opportunity) to give it a rewatch, will definitely try to watch it again when I can then. But yeh I don't find any of those films you've mentioned bad at all, I'd give them all good ratings

i can understand people being harsh on Out of Africa; after i read the book i couldn't look at the film the same way again. but All About Eve is so low it hurts my heart

but i think it hurts more that Million Dollar Baby is at the top

Love Million Dollar Baby. I can understand being mad about All About Eve being that low, but it just didn't click with me. Not sure a rewatch would help, either. To me, any of those top 6 could take the cake for the top spot it's fairly close.
