Hello, please help me find this film, I'm sorry for the sparse information:
  • 1995-2005ish
  • Protagonist discovers that the people blackmailing him are his own friends
  • One of the characters looks like Ethan Hawke or Guy Pearce, and constantly throws peanut shells (or some other food remnant) on the floor
