Gordon-Levitt Joins "Django", "Rush" Delayed

October 21st 2011

"Inception" and "50/50" star Joseph Gordon-Levitt is in talks to join the cast of Quentin Tarantino's spaghetti Western "Django Unchained" reports Variety.
Gordon-Levitt intends to do the movie, but scheduling issues have to be sorted out first which would allow him to do so. Shooting kicks off in New Orleans in January.
Meanwhile the David Koepp-directed thriller "Premium Rush", in which Levitt plays a bike messenger pursued by a violent cop (Michael Shannon), has been pushed back by eight months.

LaPaglia Joins Tarantino's "Django"

October 31st 2011

Former "Without a Trace" star Anthony LaPaglia will be slipping back into his native Australian accent for Quentin Tarantino’s "Django Unchained" reports Deadline.
In the film, LaPaglia will play the leader of a group of greedy Australians who encounter slave-turned-bounty hunter Django (Jamie Foxx) as they are escorting a group of slaves recently purchased as fighters. The roles are relatively small but are crucial in the film's final act.
"It’s wildly ambitious and imaginative, deals with that subject matter in a way it hasn’t been dealt with before. The way the cast has shaped up, it’s exciting to be involved" says LaPaglia. The actor also confirmed that "Inception" and "The Dark Knight Rises" star Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who was cast the previous week in an unspecified role at the time, will be playing his mean brother.

Aww.

Quentin Tarantino’s all star western saga ‘Django Unchained’ has just lost one of its many players in the form of ’50/50′ star Joseph Gordon Levitt. A rep for Gordon Levitt confirmed the news to EW today that the actor had pulled out of Tarantino’s slave era western due to those annoying and pesky scheduling conflicts.

I think it has potential to be the best movie of this year, also lookin forward to te film Woody Allen is directing

Well that sucks was really looking forward to Levitt being in this.

It's looking almost exactly how I imagined it would. Hope it lives up to the hype!

Two more have gone, Kurt Russell and Sacha Baron Cohen have dropped out of the film. Cohen can't now because of publicity stuff with his new film The Dictator, and don't know why Russell has.

I bet Christoph Waltz will be great again!

I doubt that their roles were very big.
I don't know about Russell, but Cohen's character has one scene in the whole film but apparently it's a very longggg scene.
