You never know...that just might be someone's jello flavor of the week.

Watched a movie with Samuel L Jackson called "Fresh", don't know how long it was, but it felt like forever!!!!! I'm sure I aged four years just watching it.

Everyone seems to be asking why someone would want to watch it, but no one seems to have noticed that it was designed for insomniacs. Those who have ever had insomniatic episodes know that you'll do just about anything to get to sleep. In the past, I've taken Tylenol PMs and read old Chemistry textbooks to get myself to sleep.

Suffice it to say, I don't think the film was ever meant to be enjoyed in traditional terms, or even watched in its entirety. It was meant to be a pretty surefire way to pass the time, bore you for as long as it had to, and eventually lull you to sleep.

I have heard of it in Yahoo.com, one of the forums. The longest movie ever made is "The Cure of Insomnia" and there may be more information about where to get from imdb.com. Good luck!

It would be neat to see a soundtrack to the longest movie ever made, this 85 hour film you'll are talking about.

Isn't there an older Russian version of "War and Peace" that was like 18 hours or something?

85 hours!? O_o Who actually sat through that entire thing?

Presumably no-one, if it is a successful cure for insomnia...

Are we talking 85 hours of interrupted movie time here? How sure are you of this anyways. I cant see anyone putting out a movie that takes 3 1/2 days to watch and actually expecting it to get watched within that time frame. It's like saying: "lets make a movie where people will miss half of it due to sleeping". And i'm assuming this was well before the dvd/vhs era so now i'm just confused.

Jeez- that same list of supplies barely gets me through a single viewing of Boondock Saints or Mallrats. For 85 hours of viewing- i reckon i would nees some sort of intravenous tube- providing me some kind of semi-nutritional caffene-based liquid. Put some crack in there, too, for balance.

i just downloaded the producers today .. a musical .. yes its funny and only goes for 120mins ... but it seems to drag on for at least 6 hours .. i think its due to the constant dialog being a muscial and all .. it was too muhc but very entertaining .. i suggest everyone see it. worth your time, even if it seems to go for 6 hours

have no fear, CPMan is here..
85 hours?! man, i cant last that long in my Super Cosmic couch! the longest movie i've watched is Braveheart, Troy and LOTR3..3 hours tops.

that would be the Asian silent film "greed." it's only 9 and a half hours, short compaired to the 85 hour one. but you won't ever be able to watch it, because it's been destroyed. the longest film in existance is the russian film "war and peace." it's seven and a half hours.

I was thinking a movie like The Seventh Samurai or something. But 85hours is just extensive and over the top.

First thing that comes to mind is Gone With the Wind, but that's just my mind, not actual fact

It won Oscars, but Gone with the Wind was a bit longer.
