Lets put a smile on that block
I love instrumentals in films. there the bits that give you the emotion....well they do me anyway. Then when you listen to the soundtrack you can go through the film again in your head all over again
Most of mine are by James Horner. His a brilliant musician. creates beautiful music for films

1. Meet Joe Black

then theres Danny Elfman. He does the musci for most of Tim Burtons films, like BeetleJuice, Sleepy Hollow and Edward Scissor Hands. He also done Men in black and Spider Man

2. Edward Scissor Hands

The theres the great John Williams. Mostly works with Spielberg i think. Always really powerful music that gets you staright into the atmosphere of the film. Just like jaws...i love it.

3. Jurrasic park
4. E.T

Theres also the "Gladiator" soundtrack. Taht blows me away. Makes me so emotional listenin to that! And then i also like normal music in films. like the MAgnolia Soundtrack. Aimee Manns wicked. Also the Austin Powers soundtrack, makes me laugh.

5. Charlies Angels / I am Sam / Youve got Mail / As good as it gets

I remember the music being very (pardon pun) instrumental in portraying and moving the story along in that one...It was damn good.

Totally agree Goodboy.
It was used brilliantly in that film. Normally the instrumental music in a film only plays during important scenes but in Magnolia it plays through almost the entirety of the film. its a really effective way of making you stay interested as it makes you feel as though everyword they are sayin is important, as this emotional music is playing in the background the whole time.

Then when the silence comes you KNOW something cool is gonna happen, like strange things falling out the sky......

Excellant Film.

Lets put a smile on that block

A novel adaptation.
Oooooh... Monkey, so funky.

Little Shop of Horrors
The Graduate
Rocky Horror Picture Show
Rushmore
Cowboy Bebop
Requiem For A Dream
High Fidelity
Tommy
Pulp Fiction
American Graffiti
Nightmare before Christmas

That's 10, in pretty random order, and I did'nt even get to cover the Coen Brothers soundtracks. Whew. it's good enough.
I'd of course have to list all of the Cameron Crowe films, except I hate the way he masturbates himself to the music I grew up with, so he's striked from my list.

its the best soundtrack i ever heard there every song is fantastic.

I don't collect soundtracks or anything but I've heard that Steven Speilberg's A.I.: Artificial Intelligence's soundtrack is pretty good.
