I'm watching episode 2. Costumes are fabulous. Ambiance is great. Actors are all holding their own.
But there is just something "off" about this. The whole time I'm watching Douglas playing Franklin, I'm thinking, "Hey, that's Michael Douglas, and I think he's playing Benjamin Franklin."
Maybe it's Douglas's distinctive voice and/or face, or the fact that they didn't bother to try to make him look more like Franklin, but in the middle of episode 2 I'm just not hooked because I can't seem to see past Michael Douglas being, well, Michael Douglas.
