Mid-1970s, a prototypical buddy cop flick filmed around San Francisco. Has some tone problems but also some fun sequences, almost a spoof of the likes of Bullitt and Dirty Harry at times, and the leads are great bickering together. It's Freebie and the Bean (1974) starring Alan Arkin and James Caan, directed by Richard Rush. The supporting cast includes Alex Rocco, Valerie Harper, Jack Kruschen, Mike Kellin, and Loretta Switt.
