I just seen a movie with him in it, the last couple weeks. I can never remember his name.

Oh, I thought y'all had already guessed this recognizable actor. It's Jeff Chandler. A medium weight actor but an absolute knockout to look at for the ladies. When he died in 1961 at aged 42 from a botched surgery, my mother cried all day.

Gosh, I have the same answer, I know his face, I've seen him in films but can't recall his name.

Sometimes he wore prince nez glasses. He and Edward Everett Horton virtually locked up this type character.
