Chronicles of Riddick good idea/bad idea?

Actually, its a sequel. It takes place five years after the events in Pitch Black. Riddick has been on the run fromm bouty hunters and ends up on the planet where (i believe) he was imprisoned(sp?).

dude this movie sucked sooo much... it got a double bird halfway thru the movie when a friend walked out... jumpy angles, NO acting... this movie makes me wish i had never watched the first preview.. this movie, is sad. vin diesel could have done SO much better!

It looks pretty cool, and the kids and hubby want to go. However I think Vin Diesel was made to play another Dominick in Fast and Furious, there is something so manly about him.
