Bright light. Bright light. Uh oh.

It's a shame they only nominate three films. Does anyone know if it's always been that way...only three slots given to animated features?
They usually nominate three in Animated Film, but I remember they did nominate FIVE the year that Spirited Away won. Allegedly, they have to feel it was a strong year, or maybe it was because it was the first year.

@Aniko: I have seen Paprika (although it's a 2006 film I think) and it easily surpasses all of this year's nominees quality wise. I voted for Persepolis despite not having seen Surf's up (I seriously doubt it's any better than Ratatouille , and I didn't much care fore that one either). It's got nice animation, I got a few chuckles from it and a good insight into the troubled past of one of the "axis of evol" countries. It didn't blow me away but apart from Paprika it's the best animated feature I've seen this year...:\
