Gangster Rap is Shakespeare for the Future
In addition to Nobody's Daughter Hae-won, the director, Hong Sang-soo, typicall puts out one or two films per year, all of which are pretty interesting narrative experiments.

Kin Ki-duk also puts out one or two films every year, and while I'm not a fan, a some people on the forums are big supporters. His most recent films are Moebius and Pieta.

Wintertriangles mentioned Snowpiercer, which should be another great film from Bong Joon-ho even if the U.S. version was killed by Weinstein.

If you're willing to go slightly further back than two years, there are many great films from recent years:
Mother (dir. Bong Joon-ho)
Poetry (dir. Lee Chang-dong)
Secret Sunshine (dir. Lee Chang-dong)
Still Walking (dir. Kore-eda Hirokazu)
Tokyo Sonata (dir. Kiyoshi Kurosawa)
