Oh! I loved it, loved it, loved it.

Action, comedy, drama, music, morals, treasure. What a movie!
Toshirô Mifune ain't a half bad actor, either.

O, bliss.

Re: THE HIDDEN FORTRESS: this film is coming up on my movie club list. It's supposed to have inspired STAR WARS. Looking forward to it.

Just finished watching ROAD TO PERDITION

Maybe if nobody show's any interest with the next pick, you can go ahead and pick it for the next discussion. The Movie Club seems to have died. Either that or they want movies like Dude, Where's My Car? to be picked.

Mother! Oh, God! Mother! Blood!
I meant THE HIDDEN FORTRESS is on my list for Movie Reviews 4 Fun (I just figured out the confusion), not MoFo's Movie Club.

If people want a pick for the MoFo Movie Club, then pick The Hidden Fortress. It is a lot of fun, and while yes, it was the inspiration [not the basis, mind you] for Star Wars, it is much, much better...

Mother! Oh, God! Mother! Blood!
I wrote "inspired" not "based," didn't I? (rechecking....) Yes, I did.

THE HIDDEN FORTRESS is film #20 on my film club list (Movie Reviews 4 Fun; see thread under Move Reviews). We are currently starting film #14, so I won't be watching THE HIDDEN FORTRESS for about 3 more months (unless someone DOES pick it for MoFo's Movie Club).

I know you said "inspired".
But there are many others who say "basis for".

So nyah.
