All in all, aside from Rain Man, nothing really intrigues me from the 80's yet, though this is probably the decade that I've seen the least of, for one reason or another.

Watch Once Upon a time in America, that's an extremely intriguing film and if you like sci fi, you just can't go wrong with Empire Strikes Back.

Honorable mention ET, Poltergeist, every film Directed by John Hughes and about the 10 others he wrote. Basically every Carpenter, Craven, Dante film of the 80s, and Empire Strikes Back/Return of the Jedie. So many more. Tough to make a top 10.

Very nice list. Carpenter was killin' it in the 80s. I have probably seen about 70 percent of these and heard of almost every one. Where is De Palma's Blowout?
