Saddest movie you have seen

World's Greatest Dad - easily the saddest film ever made and with a tear-wrenching soundtrack to boot.

on a side note its also a great movie to watch right after smoking, the soundtrack is incredibly appealing to those emotional stoners out there

The Notebook is depressing

My Top ten saddest movie list. Warning! May contain spoilers!

10. Titanic. Does that make me gay?

9. The Green Mile. I ball like a baby when Hanks quotes "Roll on two."

8. The Bridge To Terabithia.

7. Moulin Rouge. Excellent film, traggic ending.

6. Gran Tarino. A great movie of legend status.

5. Patch Adams. When the women gets gunned down and he reads the poem, WATERWORKS!

4. Pay It Forward. The very end, that song just gets me every time.

3. Braveheart. FREEDOM!

2. The Patriot.

1. I Am Sam. All you need is love.

Is white trash beautiful
Bambi (1942) When I was a little girl I always remember crying with my mom when we watched this film, and now I get to cry with my daughters when I watch it with them.

I'd have to say The Green Mile is probably top for me. I can just watch the end and still cry.

Also topped for 1st, and I can't believe only one other person has mentioned it, but Toy Story 3 had me crying more then I ever could have imagined. I guess it's partly because I grew up with them and knew I was saying good-bye. It made my father cry as well, and that was probably only one of two times I've ever seen him cry.

I'd also agree with Forrest Gump, Pay it Forward, Marley and Me (I have a lab as well), and The Notebook.

I'm not a big crier at films however everytime I watch The Lion King I still feel a little sting in my eyes as they begin to tear up. The bit where Simba uses his head to lift up his father's paw is just so tender and sad.

I am however avoiding Marley and Me because I know I would just cry like a baby at that. Especially as I just lost my little dog less than a year ago.

omg--i totally forgot about marley & me...i wished i read the book first so i would know what to expect...

i was watching it on demand on a sunday morning, and my husband was sleeping and kids were outside...and im wwatching this movie and crying, and hopeing no one catches me looking like a baby over a dog in a movie..

Small Soldiers - Why oh why could they all not get along?

Miss Vicky's Loyal and Willing Slave
Not had a chance to look through this large thread but did anyone else find Cast Away really sad when he lost Wilson?

When I first saw it I felt myself tearing up and thought to myself "Get a grip man, it's just a volleyball!!" but there's just something about it. With no other people on the island Tom Hanks begins to see it as a companion and so do we (well I do at least), it's all he has left in the world, and his pained yells when Wilson begins to float away are heartbreaking.
