Spoilers below:
Shrink ended up being a critical failure, but I actually really enjoyed this film! Am I just one of the few?
I felt that the comedy was great - Jesus the drug dealer was hilarious in every scene he was involved in. Also, the movie producer always made me laugh with his obsessive compulsive behavior.
The drama was on par, too - most critics just wrote it off as hollywood narcissism but I felt it was genuine. It wasn't just hollywood characters with problems. There was also a struggling screenwriter and a young girl dealing with her mother's suicide as well as Spacey's characters similar coping problem.
Overall, I laughed a lot and I really felt for the characters - everything came together nicely. The script was great, and the direction and score were awesome as well.
Am I just one of the few giving this one a pair of thumbs up, or did anyone else around here enjoy it as well?
