Movie title ??

Hi I'm trying to figure out a movie title but I don't have a lot to go on I was hoping someone would be able to help.

Here is what I do know:

Possibly made in late 80's early 90's. A second world warship appears from the past through a storm or fog into present time and the sailor meets a girl. In one the scene the sailor hops into a car and says "where is the clutch ?"


Not much information to go on, hoping someone can come up with a name.
