A question about "Schindlers List"

Everyone has pretty much summed it up. The scale of what was happening was so large that it sort of dehumanized the horror, because you never see the characters again once they've been taken or killed or whatever....except her. You meet her alive, and then you meet her dead.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isnt she a plot element as well?

Doesnt the highlighting of her also introduce us to this unheard character, and through her demise (which would only be recognised through a seperate hue), the character of Schindler begins his epic character arc.

That, and the other reasons stated before. I mean.... in my opinion.

You are correct. That is the point in the script where his arc begins.

The color red can symbolize sex, sexual agression, sexual reproduction, anger, love, war, nature, purity, and a stimulus. In the case of the girl with the red coat, the color red most likely means, in my opinion, a stimulus. A stimulus is an agent or action that accelerates or sparks a psychological or physiological activity or response. This stimulus is in Oskar Schindler and is cuased by Schindler taking witness to the girl in the red coat and the chaos in Krakow. This stimulus is what causes his character arc to begin. Either that or the red means what alot of the people have already said, a type of significance.
