Best animated Movie?

But Roy couldn't have bought back into Disney without the help of Texans (specifically the Bass Brothers and Richard Rainwater).

And by the way, he didn't revitalise the golden day of animation with "The Little Mermaid" and "Beauty and the Beast". He didn't start the computer animation craze. He was very, very, very DEAD by this stage.
And he didn't say "he" did, he said his company did (which is entirely true).

I think Aki Ross looked a bit like Demi Moore (early 90s at least)

Final Fantasy was the best as far as animation was concerned.
As far as film is concerned, I have fond memories of the Jungle Book but I haven't really watched many others in recent times. Shrek was good too.

I'm not old, you're just 12.
Animated films? South Park: Bigger Longer and Uncut is a personal favorite, as well as Beavis and Butthead Do America, but for more mainstream audiences, I'd go with Castle of Cagliostro, or Kiki's Delivery Service. If you're feeling daring, however, watch Perfect Blue.

Actually, Aki Ross looks a lot like Juliette Lewis.

Can I just toss in one more? Ralph Bakshi's movie of R.Crumb's Fritz The Cat! I saw this for the first time last night, and I laughed my head off. Sick and twisted. "He's X-Rated and Animated," but also sharp and satirical.

i really liked princess monoke, its an anime film, but really really good. Go out and rent it if u havnt seen it.

Is this the 1985 movie, or the newer CG TV Show?

If it's the 1985 movie, I'm with ya on it. Don't watch it all the time, but it's a great animated movie for its time.

I saw "Monsters Inc." and I definatly thought it was one of the best animated films I'd ever seen -- much more so than "Shrek" and much more so than all of Pixar's previous work.

I think that it is a thing between Shrek and this for Best Animated Picture, and I think this should get it over Shrek.

definitely the 1985 movie, the new transformers have lost something with the translation into 3D. Optimus Prime rocks.

As for the Shrek v Monster inc, its pretty personal, but Shrek was the winner for me, it was just a little more irreverent, less corporate and straight than Monsters inc. Anything that can get away with giving the boot so heavily to Disney has got to get the votes.

But, having said all that, technically, monsters inc probably edges out slightly over Shrek, texture clarity and modelling wise. there's times where shrek can look so...awkward? Especially with the human characters, Pixar has been smarter that way keeping humans out of the picture while they can't be fully realised in a flowing and convincing way (FF?) and keeping their stories in check with the 'cartoonish' style they have created for themselves.

Some favorites:

The Iron Giant
Shrek
The Aristocats
South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut
All four Pixar flicks
Tiny Toons Adventures: What I Did On My Summer Vacation
Fievel Goes West
A bunch of amines that have already been mentioned
Mulan
Robin Hood
Tarzan
The Road to El Dorado
The Lion King
Oliver and Co.

I have yet to see Final Fantasy or Waking Life.

And I'm amazed that only one or two people mentioned The Iron Giant.
