This was well written, fast paced, and with good performances. A nifty and effective film noir.
it wasn't bad. reminded me of white heat with robinson playing a complete psycho james cagney

8/10 is my rating.
Another forgotten film noir with the great Edward G Robinson, one of the kings of the genre. Robinson is at his best playing a psycho on death row who manages to escape. When I say psycho, I mean Cody Jarrett from White Heat (1949) type psycho. The body count gets high. A a number of recognizable faces who went on to tv careers:

Peter Graves - Mission Impossible
Milburn Stone - Gunsmoke
Russell Johnson - Giligan's Island

Two big twists at the end. This is a solid film noir with all the ingredients you would expect. 7/10
