Someone thought we needed a Blu-Ray Collector's Edition of 1988 E.T. ripoff Mac and Me.
And it may be worth it just for the original ending being dug up. In the U.S. theatrical version Eric dies from an explosion and is then revived by Mac and his posse.
Apparently, the US market was made up of PUSSCAKES. The Japanese got to see Eric straight up get shot by the cops like the director just walked out of Colors right before filming this scene.#wheellivesmatter
Presumably Eric gets revived, but I would like to imagine the aliens just shrugged and left.
